Abstract

According to Principle of Ayurveda, Diabetes is defined as there is a strong co-relation in the imbalance of three doshas that is Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Imbalance in the Vata can negatively effect on the functioning of pancreas and imbalance in the pitta can lead to issue with metabolism, while there is an imbalance in Kapha can effect on the insulin resistance. To manage the diabetes effectively, fistly it is essential to understand the natures of human’s body. In the treatment of diabetes herbs plays an important role. Herbs such as neem, gurmar, turmeric, and cinnamenon. These herbs provides unique properties that aid in stabilizing blood sugar levels and enhancing insulin sensitivity. The Ayurvedic medicines provides natural approach to managing diabetes, focusing of balancing body’s energy and improving overall health. These remedies derived from herbs and natural ingredients.

Introduction

Diabetes is also known as diabetes mellitus. Diabetes is chronic disorder in which level of glucose increases in the blood. It is caused by the low production of insulin from the beta cell of the pancreas or due to improper functioning of the pancreas. [1]

Glucose is very essential for the body because glucose the body’s main source of energy.

There is a hormone which is called as insulin that are secreted or produced from the beta cells of the pancreas that helps in regulating the glucose in your body.

There are two types of diabetes

  1. Type- 1 ( insulin dependent)
  2. Type- 2 ( non- insulin dependent)

Here, we are review the different types of Ayurvedic product which is used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus or maintaining the glucose level in the blood.
